What was the highlight of Jetwing Blue
Beach hotel in Negombo
The best thing about this hotel is its location right on Negombo beach. Although, it does not appear to be a swimming beach. Decent swimming pool and good food.
I have stayed here before and it appears that this property is a bit dated now and in need of a facelift to restore it to its previous standard.

Ok for a night
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is good ,near to all other restaurants ,shoos etc. Pools very nice and big. Breakfast was very good and fantastic cofee. Can't say anything in foods otherwise as we ate outside. Bar for such a Hotel( so called 5 Star). Is a bit poor in all ,set up or comfort in general. Rooms ok but not 5 Stars I would give 3.5 to 4 Max .... Reason:main reason bathroom....old looking run down ..bath tup out of date and looks unclean or old with lots repairs etc and silicon repairs ..I did not make pic as I not like to publish such things ....but please upgrade it to 5 Stars.... No do not disturb sign or hanger or switch . Fridge ok,coffee tea facilities ok but the french press missing for the ground coffee ..wondered how to brew ..I drank as it was with hot water stirng ...no filter no press ...thought it's the way to do untill I went to a other jetwing ..lower catagory ...only there I have seen there is a french press,.all in all it's a out dated run down establishment ...needs some pushups in quality or upgradings ...same with ceilings ..old and not up to date ....not 5 Star not even or just Abt 4....would not book.again.....unless totally upgraded .... But Staff great please ..... Don't safe on upgrading t frustrating otherwise

What was the highlight of Jetwing Blue
It was fine for a night before departure and the pool is fantastic.
The pools are amazing. The beach was fine (for walking, not for swimming). The breakfast options are great. The coffee is terrible. The spa massages were lovely (pre-flight). The reception desk wasn't particularly helpful. Jude Restaurant nearby was fabulous for dinner (no connection to the hotel).
Didn't organise the room configuration to what we actually booked though in the end they fixed it. Need to be a bit more understanding about late departure for overnight flights. When they plug in a phone for charging, they should actually make sure it is charging. When they accept payment in US dollars, they should give change in US dollars, not rupees.

What was the highlight of Jetwing Blue
Value for money and comfortable and satisfying stay.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had in respect of taste and choice. The Sri Lankan cuisine was authentic and very tasty with correct amount of spiciness. Croissants were perfect and a rare thing to find in Sri Lanka. Marmalade was exceptional. Hoppers first class. Room service quick and staff very nice. The beds really comfortable with high quality bedding.
Signage to indicate the lift and stairs etc should be improved. A bit confusing in the long corridors.
